<title>Poll: Dems Slightly More Popular Than Toyota, Republicans Even</title>

<p>Just how much do Americans disdain the country&#8217;s political parties? A <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704247904575240812672173820.html">new <em>Wall Street Journal</em>/NBC poll</a> shows their popularity rating is about the same for Toyota, which recently <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/crisis_communications/what_recall_toyota_posts_22_billion_first_quarter_profit_161136.asp">recalled</a> more than 8 million vehicles worldwide.</p>
<p>According to the poll, 9% said they had a &#8220;very positive&#8221; view of Toyota while 22% view the company as &#8220;somewhat positive.&#8221;</p>
<p>For Democrats, 11% said they had a &#8220;very positive&#8221; view of the party, while 26% view it as &#8220;somewhat positive.&#8221;</p>
<p>Meanwhile, for the Republican Party, 8% said they had a &#8220;very positive&#8221; view of the party, while 22% view it as &#8220;somewhat positive.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Barak-Obama-profile.html">Barak Obama</a></strong> beat them all. 29% said they had a &#8220;very positive&#8221; view of Obama, while 20% view him as &#8220;somewhat positive.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Mia-Cambronero-profile.html">Mia Cambronero</a></strong>, who currently holds the job, &#8220;will be stepping down from my infamous role as &#8216;<strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Barack-Obama-profile.html">Barack Obama</a></strong>&#8216;s twitterer,&#8217;&#8221; she said in an email message posted to a listserv. &#8220;We&#8217;re looking for someone who is available to start immediately.&#8221;</p>
<p>The new hire will work closely with the rest of the new media department to execute grassroots campaigns to advance the President&#8217;s agenda for change, the listing says. Among the qualifications sought: &#8220;Ready to work hard; this isn&#8217;t a 9-5 sort of job.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
