Roll Call: CBS Interactive, Porter Novelli and Hornall Anderson

Christine Castro has been named senior vice president, communications, for CBS Interactive. In her new roll, Castro will oversee all global external and internal communications and public relations efforts for CBS Interactive and its portfolio of digital brands, including CBS.com, CBSNews.com, CBSSports.com, CNET, GameSpot, and TV.com. Castro will work with the general managers of each property to plan public relations and communications strategies in support of their business objectives and will work with CBS Interactive management and CBS communications leadership focusing on the public, the media and the investment community. Porter Novelli today announced that Katie Huang Shin has joined the company as executive vice president, deputy client relationship leader on the agency’s HP business. She will drive strategy and operations, reporting to Darlan Monterisi, executive vice president, managing director of Porter Novelli New York. Huang Shin will also be responsible for working to grow the agency’s Global Technology practice worldwide. Huang Shin joined Porter Novelli from FleishmanHillard, where she was senior vice president and senior partner, deputy managing director for the firm’s global technology sector. In that capacity, Huang Shin worked with regional, office and account team leadership around the world to provide high level strategic communications counsel to a diverse portfolio of technology companies. Roll Call: Romney Campaign, Kaplow, CBS Interactive

Mitt Romney has a new national security and foreign policy spokesperson: Richard Grenell, the director of comms and public diplomacy at the U.N. during the George W. Bush administration. Since then, he’s been a partner at Capitol Media Partners in Los Angeles. The firm says he will continue in that role while advising the Romney campaign.

Nadina Guglielmetti (right) has joined Kaplow as SVP of digital, social media, and consumer strategy. She’ll work with the MD and chief digital officer David Richeson to manage the KDrive practice group. She was previously the VP of digital strategies at Waggener Edstrom.

Jim Lanzone has been named president of CBS Interactive as part of CBS Corp.’s acquisition of Clicker.com, the company Lanzone co-founded. Lanzone, who was CEO of Clicker Media, will now oversee global CBS Interactive operations. Clicker.com will join a CBS roster of sites that includes CNET.com, TV.com, and Gamespot.com.

Also in CBS news, Sonya McNair has been named head of comms for CBS News. She will oversee media and talent relations, as well as day-to-day PR and internal comms for CBS News, CBS Radio News, CBSNews.com, and the CBS News Polling & Survey Unit.
