<p>Most PR pros know that it&#8217;s almost never to early to start pitching their clients or company for holiday gift guides, round-ups and other holiday related coverage. Getting that bed &amp; breakfast into <em>Cond&eacute; Nast Traveler</em> could be a total game changer.</p>
<p>On that note, PRNewser caught up with <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Samantha-Schabel-profile.html">Samantha Schabel</a></strong>, executive vice president of business development for Susan Magrino Agency at the agency&#8217;s annual holiday preview this week, an event which shows off their clientele to media, as they plan their holiday coverage.</p>
<p>&#8220;Ever year the outlets are trying to make their gift guides more unique,&#8221; Schabel told us. Watch the video for more.</p>
<p>Magrino has been around for 18-years, and currently counts 30 staffers. <title>Goldman Sachs CEO Blankfein: Not Engaging With Public Was &#8216;Probably a Mistake&#8217;</title>

<p>Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein has been <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/crisis_communications/did_goldman_sachs_do_anything_to_help_itself_yesterday_159833.asp">giving many more interviews recently</a>, in the wake of his testimony to a Senate committee last week regarding his firm&#8217;s role in the recent financial meltdown.</p>
<p>In an <a href="http://www.charlierose.com/guest/view/6895">interview</a> with <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Charlie-Rose-profile.html">Charlie Rose</a></strong> this past Friday, Blankfein <a href="http://dealbreaker.com/2010/05/goldman-concedes-its-pr-strategy-was-probably-a-mistake/">hinted</a> that Goldman&#8217;s secretive ways were, &#8220;probably a mistake.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;There are ways in which I can do a better job of informing people about markets and what we do and the contribution we make. We have to be more transparent,&#8221; he said.</p>

<title>Friends of Oprah Winfrey Not Booking Unauthorized Biographer During Promotional Tour</title>

<p>A high profile biographer, <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Kitty-Kelley-profile.html">Kitty Kelley</a></strong>, is about to release a much anticipated, albeit unauthorized biography of one of the biggest names in media, <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Oprah-Winfrey-profile.html">Oprah Winfrey</a></strong>. One would think all of the big talk shows would be eager to have her on during the promotional tour for the book. Not so.</p>
<p>Galleycat <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/galleycat/celebrities/oprah_winfrey_supporters_wont_book_kitty_kelley_and_her_unauthorized_biography_157960.asp">highlights</a> the following excerpt from an <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/11/magazine/11fob-q4-t.html">interview with the <em>NY Times</em></a>, in which Kelley says, &#8220;In promoting this book, we have already been told by <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Barbara-Walters-profile.html">Barbara Walters</a></strong>&#8216;s producer, No, you cannot be on The View, I cannot disrupt my relationship with Oprah. <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Joy-Behar-profile.html">Joy Behar</a></strong>, the same thing. <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Charlie-Rose-profile.html">Charlie Rose</a></strong>; <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Larry-King-profile.html">Larry King</a></strong> said, I will not do it, it might upset Oprah. Even <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/David-Letterman-profile.html">David Letterman</a></strong>.&#8221;</p>

<title>NBC Head Zucker&#8217;s First Interviews To Address Late Night Fiasco: NY Times and Charlie Rose</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>NBC Universal president &amp; CEO <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Jeff-Zucker-profile.html">Jeff Zucker</a></strong> is beginning to speak, after <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/damage_control/nbc_pr_swings_into_gear_on_leno_show_cancellation_rumors_148222.asp">weeks</a> of damaging media coverage and public battling between the network&#8217;s two main late night talents, <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Jay-Leno-profile.html">Jay Leno</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Conan-OBrien-profile.html">Conan O&#8217;Brien</a></strong>.</p>
<p>His first two interviews: <em>The New York Times</em> and <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Charlie-Rose-profile.html">Charlie Rose</a></strong>.</p>
<p>&#8220;Obviously, in hindsight, you know, perfect information leads you to that conclusion &#8212; that it was a mistake&#8230;And I think it&#8217;s the sign of a leader to step up and say, you know, when something&#8217;s not working, to have the guts to reverse it,&#8221; Zucker <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE60D6B020100119">told</a> Rose.</p>
<p>&#8220;At the end of the day Jay at 10 o&#8217;clock didn&#8217;t work. And I take responsibility for that,&#8221; he <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/nbc/jeff_zucker_at_the_end_of_the_day_jay_at_10_oclock_didnt_work_and_i_take_responsibility_for_that_149197.asp">said</a> to the <em>Times</em>&#8216; <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Tim-Arango-profile.html">Tim Arango</a></strong>.</p>
<p>All of this comes as a <a href="http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/17/conan-deal-is-immiment-key-details-all-worked-out/">deal with O&#8217;Brien</a> to leave the network is said to be imminent.</p>
<p>Several PR executives PRNewser has spoken with said Zucker would have to take the blame in order for the network to &#8220;move on,&#8221; however some thought the public statements may have come even sooner than they did.</p>
