<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Bill Bungeroth</strong> has been named vice president/market manager for <strong>Cumulus Media</strong>, San Francisco. Bungeroth assumes his new post immediately, overseeing the legendary Cumulus’ San Francisco brands, KNBR, 107.7 The Bone (KSAN), KTCT and KFOG. Bungeroth has had a significant role with Cumulus. He co-founded the radio group, and was named Cumulus’ initial President and CEO. Bungeroth comes to the position after a significant radio and entrepreneurial career with strong ratings and revenue successes. He conceived and launched “The Huckabee Report” with Governor Mike Huckabee, now on 560 stations. <title>Rush Limbaugh&#8217;s Comments Cost Cumulus Millions</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-37819" title="rush babes" src="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/files/2012/05/rush-babes.jpg" alt="" width="328" height="143" />Radio broadcaster <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Cumulus-Media-profile.html">Cumulus Media</a></strong> says it lost millions of dollars after <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/Rush-Limbaugh-profile.html">Rush Limbaugh</a></strong> went on his <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/limbaugh-says-apology-was-sincere-fluke-says-she-doesnt-care_b34816#more-34816">offensive tirade</a> against Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke. Advertisers immediately began distancing themselves from the radio host to the tune of <a href="http://www.mediapost.com/publications/article/174206/cumulus-revenues-drop-limbaugh-blamed.html">&#8220;a couple million&#8221;</a> dollars in lost ad revenue. CEO Lew Dickey also attributed losses during the quarter to lost L.A. Dodgers broadcasts and other factors.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also possible that, since Limbaugh&#8217;s show is carried on hundreds more stations (a total of 600) than the 38 broadcast by Cumulus, <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/television/rush-limbaugh-boycott-cost-cumulus-media-millions-dollars-company-ceo-article-1.1074608?localLinksEnabled=false">the losses were spread around</a> to a number of companies.</p>
