Roll Call: MWW, Draftfcb New York and David&Goliath

MWW announced that Angela Calzone has joined the firm as senior vice president, talent resources and organizational development. In this role, Calzone will lead the agency’s staff training and employee development efforts, as well as serve as a senior member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She will also oversee the agency’s human resources functions, including employee relations, benefit administration and the employee lifecycle process. An award-winning business and management strategist, Calzone most recently served for ten years as a co-managing member of Change & Response Strategies, LLC, a consortium of leadership, management, human resources, marketing strategists and corporate trainers. Previously she has held senior business and talent management roles at a number of top consulting firms across an array of verticals. (Release)

A week after announcing the hiring of BBDO NY alum Kevin Jordan as group creative director, Draftfcb New York has hired a second person to assume the same title. In a memo sent to staff around noon yesterday, DFCB NY CCO  Javi Campopiano revealed that the agency has brought on Renata Florio as a fellow GCD. The newest hire most recently served as CCO at Grey Group’s Hispanic agency unit, Wing. (AgencySpy)

David&Goliath announced the appointment of Mike O’Malley as Kia sports marketing/sponsorships account director and Merav Cohen as Kia dealer marketing group account director. In their new roles, O’Malley will be responsible for leading campaign development on all advertising associated with Kia sponsorships, while Cohen will oversee all dealer marketing initiatives on the Kia business including field communication and dealer assets. Previously, O’Malley was an account director at WDCW and Cohen an account supervisor at RPA. (The New York Egotist)

Carter Murray will take over as CEO of New York communications agency Draftfcb Worldwide. Murray, who will work out of the agency’s NYC headquarters, joins DFCB after spending a year-plus as president/CEO of Y&R North America. During his career, Murray spent four years as CMO/worldwide account director on Nestle while at Publicis, where he also served as a member of said agency’s executive committee. Though the transition is now underway, Murray’s official start state is still to be determined. Meanwhile, Y&R has welcomed former VML CEO Matt Anthony as its new North American chief exec. JMPR, a lifestyle and transportation firm based in Los Angeles, has hired a new account executive to expand upon its automotive lifestyle team. Ashley Anderson joins the firm after working at Finn Partners, a Ruder Finn company, where she specialized in automotive accounts in addition to serving clients in the customer, healthcare and nonprofit sectors. In her new role, Anderson will work with existing automotive clients like Infiniti while seeking new business for the firm. (Release)

'Deadliest Warrior' is one of the shows on MTV's Spike TV. MTV's Entertainment Group has a new EVP.

Hortense Nastase has been named the MD of GolinHarris Bucharest, the agency’s new office to serve the Eastern European market. Nastase previously spent 11 years with Lowe PR, where she was managing partner and director since 2008. The PR department at Lowe is being rebranded to GolinHarris. Clients include Unilever, Electrolux, and Johnson & Johnson.

William Reihl has joined Weber Shandwick as North American EVP of the firm’s global consumer practice. He will report to Lisa Sepulveda, president of the practice, based here in New York. Most recently, Reihl was EVP and New York consumer practice director at Ogilvy PR.

Kelly Cusumano has joined GCI Health as SVP and deputy director of the firm’s Atlanta office. She will report to the Atlanta market leader, Valerie Lind. Cusumano was previously a VP at HealthSTAR PR. She has experience in the men’s health and autoimmune disease categories.
