Ed Adler Jumps to RLM Finsbury

Ed Adler is now a partner at RLM Finsbury, the newly-formed firm resulting from the merger of Robinson Lerer & Montgomery and U.K. financial firm Finsbury. The firm specializes in corporate, financial, and crisis comms.

Adler was most recently senior partner at MediaLink, working in the strategic communications practice. Prior to that, he was the EVP of corp comms for Time Warner.

When he announced his new job at MediaLink in September 2010, he wrote a letter that read, in part: “MediaLink was one of the first advisory firms to recognize the complexity of the changing digital world and by doing so, has earned a great deal of respect by those in our business and within their constituencies… I look forward to continuing that trend, working on those issues and others as I join MediaLink.”

Joining him from MediaLink isĀ Kyle Giunta, previously an account director in the strategic comms practice.

Seven months after he announced he would be leaving Time Warner, veteran PR executive Ed Adler said today that he has joined consulting firm MediaLink LLC as Senior Partner. “MediaLink was one of the first advisory firms to recognize the complexity of the changing digital world and by doing so, has earned a great deal of respect by those in our business and within their constituencies,” Adler said in an email to friends and associates today.

It should be noted that this is a different Medialink than PR video vendor recently acquired by the Newsmarket and re-branded Synaptic Digital. Full statement and release from Adler after the jump.

One of Rupert Murdoch‘s former top advisors is joining Time Warner. Gary Ginsberg, previously News Corporation’s Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs stepped down from his post in November 2009, and a formal announcement on his move to Time Warner is expected to come next week.

Ginsberg “will serve as a close lieutenant to Jeffrey L. Bewkes, Time Warner’s chief executive officer and chairman, with oversight of marketing and corporate communications” The New York Times reports.

The news comes less than a week after Time Warner announced that longtime Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications Ed Adler will be leaving the company in May.

“Ginsberg’s role is bigger than the one Ed had…He’s not being brought in to replace Ed,” a source involved in the discussions told the New York Post, who first reported the news.
