With her conviction overturned, the media race is on to see who will get the first interview with Amanda Knox. While it seems like the frenzy is just beginning, the PR effort actually started a long time ago.

According to The New York Times, Knox’s family hired a crisis firm after she was arrested in 2007, Gogerty Marriott in Seattle), to shift her image from “she-devil” to a nice college girl with a wholesome background, a shift that some believe helped Knox reach Monday’s positive legal outcome.

The Today Show’s Meredith Vieira has the first interview with convicted liar and former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich tomorrow morning at 7 AM. No need for NBC to issue a release, Blago’s publicist Glenn Selig already did. There’s no reason for him not to, he owns PRNewschannel, the wire where it’s uploaded.

Blowing off Geraldo, strange appearances on The View and a million other shows, and a client list that includes the Bin Laden Hunter as well as wife disappearerer Drew Peterson. Maybe Selig’s special brand of PR works. Blago was found guilty on only one of 24 counts in the Federal case involving selling Barack Obama’s open Senate seat. The judge immediately declared a mistrial.

The release also tells the world that Blago will return to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday night for more hair tussling fun.

PRNewser previously reported that Glenn Selig is representing Gary Faulkner, the so called “Osama Bin Laden hunter,” who was recently busted by authorities in Pakistan for trying to hunt down and kill the world’s most well-known terrorist.

Now that Faulkner is back on U.S. soil, he is making the press rounds with the help of Selig. Already this week, he has turned up on the CBS “Early” show, “The View,” The New York Post, and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

Selig has other controversial clients, namely former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagoejevich.

PRNewser readers may have seen the story of Gary Faulkner, the Denver, Colo. construction worker who was recently apprehended in Pakistan during his one man mission to hunt down Osama Bin Laden.

Now that he’s back home, Faulkner has teamed up with publicist Glenn Selig of The Publicity Agency, who also handles former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagoejevich. We can expect that Selig will make the most of Faulkner’s 15 minutes.

PRNewser interviewed Selig about his controversial clients this past March. “Not everything that comes our way is the right fit or appropriate given other clients,” he said, when asked about how he decides which clients to take on versus those he won’t touch.

Glenn Selig/Publicity Agency client, disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich, knocked out dozens of interviews this week to clear his name using his newly-released book as the vehicle. None were as much fun or full of F-bombs as his extended play on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart:

“You are a charming dude with the best head of hair I’ve ever fucking seen. I want this to be real. I want Pat Fitzgerald, and the entire city of Chicago’s political structure and the entire state of Illinois somehow conspiring to fuck you in the ass as hard as they can. But it’s hard to believe.”

If and when the tapes are released, and what Blago says is true, he’s already scored a great follow-up:

“When this comes out, if it’s true. Please come the show and allow me to hug you personally. To apologize to you personally and publicly and all, because if so, this is one of the great stories. You are Richard Jewell.”

Stewart did get to touch the Governor’s hair in Part 1, but Part 3 is where all the magic happened:
