Edelman’s Zeno Group has signed with Tylenol. Parent company Johnson & Johnson wants to counter a “series of recalls and manufacturing issues” as well as the lawsuits filed in the wake of reports tying Tylenol overdoses to liver failure.

A company spokesman issued a statement to AdAge but did not connect the decision to hire Zeno to the recent string of bad publicity…

Roll Call: Draftfcb Worldwide, JMPR, CTP and Fortune

Carter Murray will take over as CEO of New York communications agency Draftfcb Worldwide. Murray, who will work out of the agency’s NYC headquarters, joins DFCB after spending a year-plus as president/CEO of Y&R North America. During his career, Murray spent four years as CMO/worldwide account director on Nestle while at Publicis, where he also served as a member of said agency’s executive committee. Though the transition is now underway, Murray’s official start state is still to be determined. Meanwhile, Y&R has welcomed former VML CEO Matt Anthony as its new North American chief exec. JMPR, a lifestyle and transportation firm based in Los Angeles, has hired a new account executive to expand upon its automotive lifestyle team. Ashley Anderson joins the firm after working at Finn Partners, a Ruder Finn company, where she specialized in automotive accounts in addition to serving clients in the customer, healthcare and nonprofit sectors. In her new role, Anderson will work with existing automotive clients like Infiniti while seeking new business for the firm. (Release)

Supima, the organization that promotes the American Pima cotton industry, has chosen Hill+Knowlton Strategies for consumer and digital PR. The firm will help the group with new branding and messaging, digital strategy, and consumer media relations in preparation for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Supima will be hosting its fifth Design Competition during the event.

The Coker Group, which includes wheel and tire manufacturers, a bicycle company, a speed shop, and more, has chosen JMPR as AOR. The firm will handle product launches, raise brand awareness, and conduct media and influencer outreach targeting collector car and restoration enthusiasts, events, and other key areas.

Chief Executive Group, publishers of Chief Executive magazine, have chosen Fastlane Communications as its AOR. The firm will provide PR, event, and editorial design services.

JCPenney has chosen DKC for “fashion and editorial outreach” after a competitive search, according to PRWeek. The retail company also chose PMK*BNC for PR services earlier this month, but neither is acting as AOR.

Twice as Warm, an organization that matches clothing purchases with a donation to someone in need, has chosen Uproar PR as its AOR.

Pep Boys, the auto service and retail chain, has selected JMPR as its AOR, the first in more than five years. The firm will handle the 90th anniversary celebration, raise the company’s profile in national and regional markets, and promote its maintenance and repair services.

Weber Shandwick has been chosen to promote the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America 68th Annual Convention and Expo. Work will be handled out of the Dallas, New York, and Washington D.C. offices. The event is taking place in Orlando, FL from April 10 through 13.
