JMPR Public Relations announced today that it has been appointed as the agency of record for Lou La Vie, the noted luxury and exotic vehicle rental company serving the Miami and South Florida markets. JMPR will be responsible for overseeing media outreach to expand awareness of the company on a national and international level.

PR Week reports that Sony Electronics has selected Burson-Marsteller as the AOR for all of its US electronics business. The firm, which has served as AOR for Sony’s mobile business for several years, was chosen from a group of four firms involved in a final round review. Sony has recently reduced its account budget and reportedly changed its goals, but representatives did not provide further detail to PR Week at this date.

Wait, what?

The Children’s Health Fund has selected Cohn & Wolfe as its pro-bono Agency of Record. CHF is dedicated to providing mobile-based pediatric medical care to children in need across the United States.

Cohn & Wolfe is tasked with a range of integrated marketing programs—including creative, digital and advertising—as well as supporting the 25th Anniversary Benefit Concert on Friday night, hosted by CHF co-founder Paul Simon.

Infiniti has selected JMPR Public Relations, based in California, as its Agency of Record for the brand’s product and lifestyle communications efforts in the United States. JMPR will be responsible for media relations activities and provide strategic brand-building counsel as Infiniti continues to broaden its product line and presence in the competitive performance luxury automobile segment.

“Infiniti is entering an inspired era and we are so excited to be a part of it,” said JMPR President Joseph Molina. “We look forward to down the road, when we’re able to say ‘we were there when it happened,’ which is exactly what we’ve done for international brands for years.”

Pinterest has hired The OutCast Agency for what is starting as a short-term project but could go long-term. The firm is helping the network manage the intense interest it has generated with media relations support. [via Holmes Report]

New York’s Grand Central Terminal has chosen Goodman Media International to promote the landmark’s activities, retail shops, and restaurants on a local, national, and global level. The firm will also help the 100th anniversary celebration on February 1, 2013.

Sanford, FL has spent tens of thousands of dollars on outreach, according to the Orlando Sun-Sentinel. The city has hired Massey Communications for crisis comms, media strategy, and a “joint information center.” Sanford has spent $5,000 on crisis comms and $30,500 on Sony JumboTrons that broadcast a Monday meeting at a local park.

Lithium Technologies has chosen Bite Communications as its AOR focused on the U.S. and Europe. The firm was selected after a competitive pitch. Work will raise awareness of the company and the value of social customer service software. Work will be lead by Bill Danon in San Francisco and Sophie Brown in London.

Arik Air, the large West African airline, has chosen C. Moore Media International Public Relations (CMM) as its AOR. CMM was founded by former Hill + Knowlton Strategies exec Claudine Moore (when it was Hill & Knowlton). For Arik Air, the firm will focus on traditional and digital outreach with a special focus on U.S. businesses. Arik Air offers the only nonstop flight between New York and Lagos, Nigeria and provides a gateway to other African cities. The firm has previously worked with Arik Air.

Four-star restaurant Del Posto (which is owned in part by Mario Batali, left, and is embroiled in a lawsuit involving 27 current and former employees) and Oliviers&Co, an olive oil purveyor, have selected Susan Magrino Agency for PR services.

Dentsu Communications was named AOR for the Siemens Foundation, which supports educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Vogue Tyre and Rubber, a company that’s nearly a century old, has chosen JMPR Public Relations as its AOR.

Conway Family Wines has selected Hanna Lee Communications as its AOR.

Susan Davis International has added four clients to its roster: Homes For Our Troops, which serves wounded veterans; the LUNGevity Foundation, a grassroots lung cancer research nonprofit; Code of Support Foundation, another nonprofit serving members of the military; and Armed Forces Services Federation, which provides services to the federal government.
