<title>White House Comment on Midterms Will Come at 1p.m. ET</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-8099" title="Barack_Obama" src="http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/files/2010/11/Barack_Obama.jpg" alt="" width="218" height="296" />After losing the <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/House-of-Representatives-profile.html">House of Representatives</a></strong> but holding on to the Senate in the midterm elections yesterday, <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/White-House-profile.html">White House</a></strong> officials are carefully choosing their words and how they will frame the results.</p>
<p>The White House communications staff will stay silent, Politico <a href="http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/1110/nothing_to_talk_about_66dddc18-f429-4568-bf8e-f71f32e615b0.html">reports</a>, and <strong><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/President-Obama-profile.html">President Obama</a></strong> will issue the first official comments at a 1p.m. ET press conference today. Meanwhile, the White House <a href="http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog">blog</a> has not posted anything in reaction to the midterm results.</p>
