Peter Matheson Gay has joined Weber Shandwick as creative director of the firm’s North American healthcare practice and healthcare national practice leader for Canada. Matheson Gay is heading back to Canada from New York where he was a new business leader at Cohn & Wolfe, working with healthcare clients. He has previous experience up north with Hill & Knowlton, PraxisPR, and Veritas Communications.

Meredith Webster is joining Bloomberg LP as director of comms and public affairs. She’ll report to chief comms officer Rick Powell and oversee the expansion of the team’s efforts in New York, D.C., and abroad. Webster is joining from the Obama White House, where she has served as the senior advisor to Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and to interim Chief of Staff Pete Rouse and is currently the deputy director of government reform for competitiveness and innovation in the Office of Management & Budget.
