The Associated PressPhillip Elliott takes a look into how and why the White House is increasingly using Twitter, in a story published today.

However, don’t expect White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to be using smiley-faced emoticons anytime soon.

“There’s a whole language, obviously, and typing with numbers and symbols that has evaded me,” Gibbs told Elliott. “I’m sure my son could teach me that far better than I could pick it up.”
