‘Scientific American’ Launches a Blog Network

Scientific American has launched a network composed of 60 bloggers who will cover science, technology, and their relationship to global affairs from a variety of angles.

Bora Zivkovic, known for the site “A Blog Around the Clock” will moderate the new community with members including Jennifer Ouellette of “Cocktail Party Physics.”

The site is also adding ~~three~~ 38 blogs to its existing eight, among them @ScientificAmerican, which covers news and highlights from the outlet’s newsroom; “The Incubator,” featuring student work; and “Network Central,” with highlights from the network.

Scientific American has launched “Bring Science Home,” a month-long online campaign to inspire kids to take an interest in science. The program’s goal is to show that science is part of the everyday, and proposes science activities that kids and their parents can do for just a few minutes per day using things lying around the house.
