Fifteen Minutes Public Relations, a Los Angeles firm specializing in consumer brands and celebrity representation, has expanded its personalities division with the recent addition of three new clients.

Dr. Lisa Masterson, Emmy-nominated co-host of the award-winning talk show The Doctors, HGTV star Carter Oosterhouse, currently hosting the hit show Million Dollar Homes, and Greg Louganis, Olympic Gold Medalist and trainer on the upcoming ABC series Splash, are the latest to join a burgeoning Fifteen Minutes TV personalities roster that includes Mario Lopez, Laila Ali, Ty Pennington, E! Correspondent Jason Kennedy and HGTV’s Sabrina Soto to name a few.

Style Media Rebrands

Style Media, home to the Style Network and mystyle.com, has rebranded with a new logo to be officially unveiled during the Tia & Tamera and Chicagolicious shows on Monday, June 25.  A redesigned website, intended to optimize social sharing, will also be unveiled. The revamp will go global across NBCUniversal in November.

The new look will accompany 25 percent new programming, which will be headlined by style experts. Viewers in the 18-to-49 demographic is up that same percentage this year, but, according to the network’s own studies, it’s lacking in brand identity.

Broadcast Networks Tackle Causes with Upcoming Programming

Demi Moore has partnered with the CNN Freedom Project for its documentary Nepal’s Stolen Children, which will focus on human trafficking.

Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher are the founders of The Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA), an organization dedicated to combating child sex trafficking. For the documentary, Moore will travel to Nepal to film with Anuradha Koirala, CNN’s 2010 Hero of the Year and the leader of Maiti Nepal, an organization that has saved 12,000 children from sex trafficking since it was founded in 1993.

Style Network Beefs Up Campaign for Skin Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, the Style Network has expanded its year-round “Fight With Style” campaign to raise awareness about the disease. There’s a new PSA (above), additional online information, partnerships with a number of organizations (there’s an event on May 11 with the SHADE Foundation in Washington D.C.), and the release of data from its poll of 1,000 women ages 18 to 54 year old, conducted with polling company company TM, inc./WomanTrend.

According to the poll, 48 percent of respondents have never been to a dermatologist; the same percentage were surprised to learn that there are more cases of skin cancer diagnosed than breast, prostate, lung ,and colon cancers combined; and only one in five use sunscreen daily.

We reported on Marc Jacobs‘ t-shirt design featuring Victoria’s Secret  model Marisa Miller to raise awareness about skin cancer back in December. Separately, we’re curious about why skin cancer campaigns seem to focus more heavily on women.
