Current Lifestyle Marketing, a member of the Interpublic Group of Companies, has been selected as the public relations agency of record for Wilton Enterprises. The agency will support the food crafting company with traditional public relations efforts including consumer inspiration and instruction for sweet treat making and new product introductions.

Nancy Siler, vice president of consumer affairs and public relations at Wilton Enterprises, said “We selected Current because of the agency’s food and home category experience, and their efforts will ensure we continue to play a leadership role in competitive bakeware, cake decorating, candy and education.” (Homepage)

Roll Call: Bender/Helper, National Retail Federation, Harold Burson, and More

Jerry Griffin has been named GM of Bender/Helper Impact‘s New York office. Griffin started his career as a journalist and was most previously an SVP at Edelman.

The National Retail Federation has hired Katie Wilson as VP of comms, starting April 9. She’s currently the senior director of comms and strategy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. [via]

Vijay Lalwani has joined Bratskeir & Company to manage strategic development for the agency’s client list. Lalwani was previously director at PainePR’s New York office.

Blast! PR, which specializes in PR for the digital media industry, has named Lana McGilvray principal of the firm. She will work directly with clients and  has opened a blast! office in Austin, TX. She’ll also be helping to expand the firm’s New York presence. She was previously the VP of marketing at media technology company PulsePoint. [via]

The firm will provide event support for the organization’s 2012 Everglades Water Supply Summit taking place January 17 and 18 in Tallahassee, FL. The firm has also re-signed Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Walk, taking place November 19 in Washington D.C. and the Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium, also taking place in D.C. on March 5 and 6.

Savorian Wines, a Brooklyn-based company that imports and distributes wines from Catalonia, Spain, has selected Whitegate PR as its AOR. The firm will work on a program to raise awareness of the company’s new white wine brand in the U.S.

Snackbox PR has two new contracts: Chinet and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The firm will handle national PR for Chinet. Snackbox was the AOR for the disposable tableware company in 2008 and 2009. For the Federal Reserve Bank, the firm will handle the PR, street teams, and social media outreach for Money Smart Week, taking place April 2 through the 9th.

PsomasFMG, a solar systems company, has selected MWW Group as its AOR. The firm will raise awareness of the company and its solar projects. MWW’s sustainability, corporate comms, and digital practice, Dialogue Digital, will work on the account, which will be handled out of the LA office.

Dentsu Communications was named AOR for the Siemens Foundation, which supports educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Vogue Tyre and Rubber, a company that’s nearly a century old, has chosen JMPR Public Relations as its AOR.

Conway Family Wines has selected Hanna Lee Communications as its AOR.

Susan Davis International has added four clients to its roster: Homes For Our Troops, which serves wounded veterans; the LUNGevity Foundation, a grassroots lung cancer research nonprofit; Code of Support Foundation, another nonprofit serving members of the military; and Armed Forces Services Federation, which provides services to the federal government.
