Tara Reid smells opportunity and she’s going to make the most of it.
Sharknado 2: The Second One was a bonafide hit. Now Reid, one of the stars of the movie, has launched a perfume, Shark by Tara.
Currently for sale on her website for $24.95, the scent is described as such: ”Our top-level node is clad with iced mint, violet and lemon, while our middle node is complete with jasmine, tuberose and muguet. The last dry node is cool blue rose, amber and musk.” That’s a lot of nodes. (??)
This is exactly what I thought Tara Reid’s next career move would be when I watched her get her hand bitten off by a shark while hanging on to the open door of a crashing plane being flown by Ian Ziering.

Sharknado 2 was the most watched original movie in the history of the SyFy channel with 3.9 million viewers, 1.6 million of them between the ages of 18 and 49. The movie, which is two hours of 90s nostalgia and absolute madness, beat out last year’s first Sharknado movie as well as many of the most popular shows of the summer, including America’s Got Talent, Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance.
The movie also killed it on Twitter, the subject of more than 300,000 tweets that evening. There was a point in which eight of the 10 trending topics were about this movie. Which is about a tornado of sharks. LOL.
So it makes sense that Reid would want to capitalize on her moment in the sun before the sunset inevitably comes. Perfume probably isn’t the best way to do that; I would think maybe a line of chainsaws and other tools would be more appropriate (if you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about). But hey, as long as she’s having as much fun as we are.
