Time Warner EVP Corp. Comm. Ed Adler To Step Down

Longtime Time Warner executive Edward Adler will leave the company after a transition period, the company announced today.

Adler holds the position of Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications. Previously, he had been Time Warner’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications since 2000. Before that, he served as Vice President, Corporate Communications since 1997.

“I have spent my entire career at Time Warner and, with the company on very solid footing under [Time Warner Chairman and Chief Executive Jeff Bewkes'] leadership, I felt this was the right moment to finally make the change I had wanted to make for some time,” said Adler in a statement.

PR executives PRNewser spoke with today questioned why the company put out a press release announcing the news, without naming a successor or a reason for Adler’s departure.

A source close to the news told PRNewser that Adler informed Bewkes of his decision just yesterday and the company wanted to get the news out before it started leaking. The source was confident Adler has another gig in the works.
