Walmart PR Under Review, Edelman Chicago Re-Pitching

The world’s largest retailer is currently underway with a “massive PR review” according to Advertising Age‘s Michael Bush. It looks like he beat his former PRWeek colleagues to the story.
Walmart spokewoman Tara Raddohl told Bush: “Walmart is currently talking to a number of public relations agencies to support consumer communications for Walmart U.S. Candidate agencies that may join the roster have already been identified and vetted. The incumbent agency, Edelman, Chicago, is participating in the search.”
In the RFP, Walmart said the new agency partners must have “excellent capabilities in the areas of new media, online, media relations, crisis communications and multicultural outreach.”
Bush cites “people close to the situation” who said 5-6 agencies are left out of an original field of 13. Do you know who they are? Anonymity guaranteed.
