White House Breaks Supreme Court News With NBC

President Obama will nominate Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court, the administration told media yesterday. If confirmed, she would succeed the retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.
Politico’s Mike Allen reported on Friday, “The West Wing may leak the pick to AP’s Ben Feller on the later side Sunday, then confirm it for others for morning editions.”
Instead, NBC’s Pete Williams got the story first.
Shortly after, @todayshow tweeted, “Tune in to @todayshow tomorrow morning for the latest on Pres. Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court.”
