You’ve Got Mail: AOL Seeks Senior Director of Corporate Communications

AOL recently filled its top communications spot, and now the media company is looking to hire a senior director of corporate communications to work under the EVP and rep as the deputy spokesperson for AOL. Are you a seasoned PR vet? Keep reading.

The ideal candidate will focus on proactive and reactive media relations, external corporate communications strategy and executive placement. He or she will also manage crisis communications and comm strategy on quarterly earnings, SEC filings, legal matters, policy issues, etc. You’ll be interfacing with many other departments, so you’ll need to be able to work well with others, and be able to anticipate issues before they arise.

To be considered, you should have 10-12 years of communications experience at a public company, experience being an on-the-record spokesperson and impeccable writing skills.
