2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Twitter: Learn The Power of Microblogging Twitter is among the largest social networks on the web, so if you're not tweeting, you probably should be. In this session, learn how to set up your Twitter profile so you're targeting the right audience for your personal or professional goals. The session, led by Twitter expert Lauren Dugan, will define the unique language of Twitter and explain how to find relevant people to follow while attracting a meaningful audience of your own.

Week 2: September 11

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Facebook: Personal Profiles and Business Pages If you're new to Facebook, we'll help you get started. If you already use Facebook, we'll help you master the full set of features it offers individuals. This session will begin by covering everything you need to know about your personal profile and timeline, from understanding status updates to organizing your friends and deciding who sees what by adjusting your privacy settings. Facebook can also be an essential marketing tool for many types of businesses and independent creative projects. In the second part of this session, you'll learn how to establish a brand presence using Facebook Pages. We will explain strategies for building your audience and cover techniques for setting up you page to accurately portray your business.

Week 5: October 2

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr: An Overview of Image Driven Platforms You've learned how to set up and engage across core social media platforms, but social media is more than just Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This session will introduce you to niche social media platforms and sites including Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr. Learn how, when, and why to use them to build your social presence. We'll also cover how to build a splash page to display all of your social media profiles and content using about.me or flavors.me.
