Publishing Services, LLC is an affiliated company to a large number of individual publishers around the world, including locations in (but not limited to) Baltimore, London, Waterford, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Mumbai. These publishers are focused on developing products that help individuals throughout the world manage their own financial and health destinies.
The Enterprise Applications group within Publishing Services, LLC develops and supports e-commerce and email marketing tools that are used by the affiliated publishers. The Tier 2 Support team is currently seeking a Senior Systems Operations Support Specialist.
Provide support to marketers and others who use the email marketing tools
Assist with the usage of the end-user tools
Develop custom targets (subsets of email lists) using SQL Queries
Provide support to marketers who create online order forms using a proprietary e-commerce system
Troubleshoot HTML code
Maintain and develop SSIS packages to automate tasks and move data (most SSIS packages are managed by our data team, but knowledge of how to read and develop packages is helpful)
Maintain and develop ColdFusion templates to automate tasks and create end-user tools
Work with a Support Ticketing System
accurately track and document work
maintain effective communication with customers
escalate support tickets to appropriate team members or other teams
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (24/7 for one week at a time)
Provide management with ideas to improve the online tools as familiarity with end-user problems increases
suggest new features/enhancements
Participate in projects (system upgrades, acquisition of new publishers, etc.)
Provide ad-hoc training to users of systems (to augment training provided by our Learning and Development team)
Provide ad-hoc training of new features in our systems to other team members
Advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries
Advanced proficiency in writing HTML
Experience reading and developing SSIS packages
Experience reading and developing ColdFusion packages
Available to participate in on-call schedule
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
Experience in application support and troubleshooting
Has a strong customer focus
Able to work independently
Able to manage time effectively
Experience leading a team
Possesses the drive to be the best
Possesses the drive to understand the intricate details of all systems
Intermediate proficiency in any C-based programming languages
Also fluent in speaking, reading, and writing French and/or Spanish.
