In its largest party to date, mediabistro.com hosted over 500 media professionals at its first New York event of the "real" new millennium. Thanks to help from an upbeat crowd, live bluegrass/dixieland music from The Bootleg Remedy and delicious HomeGirl cookies, hostess Laurel was able to spread plenty of happiness around a media crowd whose industry has had much to mourn lately.
