your thoughts? this is the first time I can remember any changes since I started visiting here at least 10 years ago. Hopefully this change is not just cosmetic and means better moderation and no spam.

Not necessary

Evidently, this company became worth millions because the site looked unprofessional. Seriously, why the need for a graphic makeover? The site used to look clean and hip; now it's industrial and institutional. When I click on jobs, the link color doesn't change, so now I have to wade through the entire listing each time I visit - which I'll no longer do.

If you ask the people responsible for the redesign if there was a business reason, I would be surprised if they could give you an answer. Very disappointed to move from an informal, friendly design to warehouse graphics.

"..clean and hip"??..sorry..never saw it that way at all..

to me, the current iteration is much easier to read, and that's really all that matters..

This has nothing to do with the bulletin board. They just redesigned the entire site. They still don't have a link to this board from the front page, and didn't change the board any significant way. This board is dead, and I don't see the redesign changing that.

New website design

Well, it's about F---ing time!!! I usually check the MB site every day, but have been off for a week. So this was a pleasant surprise when I went to my bookmark link today and -- BAM!!! --- the website had a new face!

I hope it's not purely cosmetic. But it's a welcome AND much needed upgrade. It's about time you guys stepped into the new millennium.

I'm obviously missing something...Is there an easier way to see the daily newsfeed apart from waiting for it to appear in a revolving window so I can click on it? Also, is the only way to find the forums' link at the bottom of the home page, in teeny-tiny print??

I'm deleting this site from my bookmark. I can't find anything.

I like it.

It's clean and simple and though I liked the previous "style" I feel they kept the organization of the forums [bulletin boards] mostly the same.

The only thing in here is the echo.

No one ever uses this bulletin board anymore anyway.

Ironically, I just read a galley by a former MB poster from his second book and am about to review another by someone who, like me, was very active here a while ago.

So, for some of us, the network we built here a decade ago still has value. But the BB itself. No.
