Job Requirements 41 Action News, the NBC affiliate is looking for a smart, creative and enthusiastic Executive Producer to join our talented team in Kansas City, MO. Job Responsibilities: * Oversee the evening newscasts and coverage on all platforms * Manage evening staff; advise and mentor young producers; participate in management team planning * The EP needs to be the kind of manager who rolls up his or her sleeves to help on the desk, post to the web or produce as needed * Willingness and ability to work long hours, late nights and weekends is required * The EP also works with the promotions team to maximize opportunity during NBC prime * The position also involves management of major events, sweeps, and breaking news situations. Qualifications and Requirements: Strong news judgment, ethics and knowledge of legal standards are a must. The ideal candidate is an aggressive strategic thinker who leads by example. Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent. Experience: At least 5 years producing in a medium to large market with a minimum. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manager or leadership role within a news station.
