2008 Ratings: FNC’s Best Year Ever

fnc_12-31.JPGFor the 7th year in a row, Fox News Channel was the most-watched cable news network. This year it was also the fourth highest-rated network in all of basic cable, and had its best year in total day and prime time.

The O’Reilly Factor, now #1 for 97 consecutive months at 8pmET, was the top program on cable news in 2008, with a 2,918,000 Total Viewer average — its best year ever.

Also in Total Viewers, Fox & Friends, Special Report with Brit Hume, Hannity & Colmes and On the Record with Greta Van Susteren had their highest rated years ever.

FNC had 12 out of the top 15 programs in cable news in Total Viewers as well.
