2009 TVNewser Poll Results: Sarah Palin Tops

For the next 8 days, we’ll bring you the results of our 2009 TVNewser Polls. On Dec. 31, 2008, we asked you for your predictions about what might happen in the world of TV news in 2009.

First, we asked: Which Political Figure From the ’08 Election Will be the Next Big TV Star? The majority of you, 48%, said Sarah Palin. Mitt Romney was next with 13% and Pres. Obama’s campaign manager David Plouffe and Romney campaign manager/prolific Twitterer Kevin Madden, tied for third with 12%.

Palin was the biggest media star this year as she remained in the limelight first resigning as governor of Alaska and later in the year when she published her memoir, “Going Rogue,” which remains atop most best seller lists.
