60 Minutes Creator Don Hewitt Hospitalized
Don Hewitt has been hospitalized with pancreatic cancer, reports Liz Smith on WowOWow.com.
The 60 Minutes creator and longtime EP of the program is 86.
Last year he received the Edward R. Murrow lifetime achievement award in broadcast journalism.

Despite what you may have seen written today by Liz Smith, Don Hewitt is at home and not in the hospital.
He is going to Sloan-Kettering this weekend for tests to determine if he should have surgery on a small growth discovered on his pancreas.
Don and Marilyn have been told that the growth, as far as can be determined, has not spread to any other organs.
