A-Rod: “How Could I Be Truthful With Katie Couric or CBS?”
One of the stories being discussed on the cablers over the last couple hours has been Alex Rodriguez‘ admission he used performance-enhancing drugs from 2001-2003.
Rodriguez talked to ESPN’s Peter Gammons today (airing on SportsCenter tonight at 6pmET) in the wake of Sports Illustrated’s report Rodriguez was one of the 104 players that tested positive for steroids in 2003. Over the weekend, Rodriguez’ December 2007 interview with Katie Couric, in which he denied ever even considering using steroids in his career, was referenced by news and sports outlets.
He tells Gammons today: “At the time, I wasn’t being truthful with myself. How could I be truthful with Katie Couric or CBS?”
