ABC Names Overnight News EP

“Chris Sheridan has been named executive producer for World News Now and World News This Morning, ABC News’ overnight news programs,” the network announced today. “The broadcasts, anchored by Ron Corning and Heather Cabot, air from 2:00-5:00 a.m. EST weekdays on the ABC Television Network. In this new post Mr. Sheridan will also coordinate overnight production of news segments for Good Morning America.”

> Update: 7:15pm: Sheridan is a former supervising producer for the Today Show, TV Week notes. I hear he moved out to LA to become a screenwriter…
