ABC News Gets First Palin Interview

gibson_9-7.jpgAlright media, you’ll get your wish — a chance to vet interview Gov. Sarah Palin.

The Associated Press reports Palin offered her first interview to ABC News, to take place “in the coming weeks,” and that Charlie Gibson would conduct the interview.

Network sources tell TVNewser an announcement is set to be made soon, possibly later tonight, confirming the interview. It is likely the interview would air later this week, and on all platforms of ABC News.

> More: On his blog on Friday, Gibson World News’ staff wrote, “Sarah Palin has steered clear of reporters and their questions. Speakers at the Republican convention this week bashed the press and their handling of Palin’s family story. At what point does a candidate for higher office have a responsibility to take questions…to interact with reporters?”

> Update: The ABC News confirmation.
