ABC’s Nick Watt Moving from London to Los Angeles
ABC News’s thoroughly Scottish, London-based correspondent Nick Watt is going Hollywood.
Watt, who has covered stories ranging from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to the British royal family, will move to ABC’s Los Angeles bureau this summer. Watt joined ABC’s London bureau in 1997 as a desk assistant, before moving up to AP and then, in 2000, producer. Watt’s first on-air report came during the U.S. Marines assault on Fallujah, Iraq in November 2004. Watt won an Emmy for that report.
We’re told the move to LA is something both Watt and ABC News brass were interested in. There are no other bureau staffing changes planned for now.
