Ratings were up 14 percent compared to last season’s Celtics-Lakers matchup. Locally, the game delivered a 10.3 metered market rating in Boston, the highest-rated, non-Christmas Day, NBA regular-season game ever on ABC. In Los Angeles, their 11.1 rating was the second highest-rated, non-Christmas day, NBA regular-season game on ABC.

Prior to Celtics-Lakers, Oklahoma vs. Miami scored a 3.1 overnight rating, a 48 percent increase compared to last year’s Denver vs. San Antonio broadcast (2.1 overnight). The 11.1 local rating in Oklahoma City was the best for a NBA regular-season game on ABC.
