Anderson Cooper will be heading to Afghanistan to anchor “AC360″ all of next week for the anniversary of September 11th. Cooper will be embedded with a group of US troops for the week’s worth of special “AC360″ programs called “Live from the Battle Zone.” Dr. Sanjay Gupta will also be embedded to deliver reports on field trauma surgery. Cooper will be joined by analyst Peter Bergen and “AC360″ will have field reports from correspondent Michael Ware.
Cooper will broadcast from there starting on the 7th. Next Saturday, September 12, CNN will air a special hour with pieces from the week at 11pmET.
