So Al Jazeera International now says it will launch on Nov. 15. But "don't look for them here," Gail Shister notes. "As of yesterday, no cable provider or satellite company in the United States had agreed to carry the worldwide news and current-events network."

Comcast "has not moved beyond preliminary discussions." Time Warner says it doesn't have a deal. Ditto for DirecTV. Dish network may offer the channel but it hasn't made any announcements yet.
