Armstrong to Matthews: “Be Nicer”

Chris-Matthews.jpgIn the “Window on Washington,” a Cox Newspapers blog, Scott Shepard writes that Chris Matthews was scolded by cyclist Lance Armstrong during the Livestrong Presidential Cancer Forum on MSNBC. “Just be a little nicer,” the blog quotes Armstrong as telling Matthews. The comment happened in a commercial break between appearances by GOP hopefuls Sam Brownback and Mike Huckabee.

“And Matthews was,” Shepard writes, “at least in the questioning of Huckabee. But in the earlier questioning of Brownback, Matthews had been especially aggressive in response to the senator’s suggestions about how to find money in the federal government to wage a war on cancer.”
