At the 36th Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony, both ABC's "Good Morning America" and "The View" were awarded prizes. "GMA" won the Emmy for "Outstanding Morning Program," their third win in a row. ABC News President David Westin said, "We knew they are the best, and it's nice to know others know it too. Congratulations to all of our 'GMA' colleagues on a well-deserved honor."

Barbara Walters and her co-hosts finally won their first Daytime Emmy for "Outstanding Talk Show Host." "The View" has been nominated for the award, but never received a statue. The win must have been relatively unexpected this time around because no one showed up to accept.
