Big Lead Sports Names Barry Janoff Business Editor

Big Lead Sports has hired Barry Janoff to join their editorial team as business editor.

“We are excited about the launch of our new destination site which features the best in indie sports content,” said Chris Russo, Big Lead Spots CEO. We’re also very pleased to have someone as well respected and knowledgeable as Barry Janoff join our team to enhance our sports business coverage.”

Janoff brings more than 25 years of experience to the online sports property. He’s the executive editor for NYSportsJournalism, a national network of sports marketing/business news sites. Prior to that, Janoff spent 10 years as an executive editor for Nielsen Media.

“I am thrilled to work with Chris, Jason and the team at Big Lead Sports to tell many of the great stories going on in the industry today,” Janoff said. “This platform will give us the opportunity to expose some of the sports and entertainment industry’s best practices and promotions to an even wider audience, and will be a great compliment to all the great independent voices that are already a part of the BLS team.”

In addition to the Janoff hire, the website has relaunched as BigLeadSports.com and added a sports business section.
