Alt New England newspaper The Boston Phoenix went through its archives and discovered a few articles that Boston University grad turned reporter turned Fox News host Bill O’Reilly had written for the publication in the 1970s. One is a profile of legendary actor Eli Wallach and the other is from a screening of the adult film “The Devil in Miss Jones.”

The screening review was published April 30, 1974 — O’Reilly would have been 24 — and the young reporter/future “culture warrior” interviewed the director at a nearby restaurant afterward where they had an in depth discussion about the industry.

Unexpected. And a pretty good read too.
