Bill Walton To Work Select Boston Celtics Telecasts

Former ESPN color commentator Bill Walton will work a handful of Boston Celtics games this season for Comcast SportsNet.

Working alongside play-by-play stud Mike Gorman, Walton will join the Celtics on their two West Coast trips in early 2011 and provide color analysis on the following telecasts:

Boston @ Portland: January 27

Boston @ Phoenix: January 28

Boston @ Golden State: February 22

Boston @ LA Clippers: February 26

With the Celtics interior presence, you know Walton will have at least a few “Throw it down, big man!” lines per night.

Walton’s recent back operations have kept him off the air, so this is a promising sign for his health and maybe a return to the national scene in the near future.
