Bob and Lee Woodruff, both now working for ABC News, are, it turns out, the namesakes for two new characters on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. Marc Cherry, the program’s creator, says in a USA Today interview that the characters, gay partners Bob and Lee, were named for the Woodruffs after Cherry met them at a dinner.
“It’s unclear how long the couple will remain on Wisteria Lane,” the article states, pointing out that the characters are recurring at this point.
“We’re having fun with them,” Cherry says. “I hope to keep them as long as I can.”
