Bravo’s Lisa Hsia: ‘The Connection between Mobile and TV has a Bright Future’

For Lisa Hsia, senior vice president of Bravo Digital Media, mobile is a “go-to” for TV consumption. Ahead of her talk on the changing broadcast and cable industries at the Mediabistro Circus May 20, writer Jennifer Pullinger asked her, “How will mobile TV change the way we consume TV and video a year or so down the road, or will it still be considered a ‘novelty’?”

“Mobile will be my go-to portable device for TV consumption. It is now! It’s my main screen for social media — Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare — and real time interaction around shows — voting, chatting or watching our latest live Ustream event on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The connection between mobile and TV has a bright future, whether it’s interacting with content, consuming it on the go, or, in my case, hanging out on the living room couch with my son while I catch a show on mobile and he watches another on the big screen.”

Lisa Hsia explores “The Next Age of Broadcasting” in her upcoming presentation at Mediabistro Circus on May 20 in New York.
