Brett Favre Goes on the Record

Greta_Brett.jpg

Greta Van Susteren aired the first part of a two-part interview with retired (for now) NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre, who’s in a standoff with the Green Bay Packers. (He wants to un-retire, they don’t want him to.) The second part airs tomorrow night on On The Record.

So, how did Van Susteren get this month’s most sought-after interview in all of American sports?

Van Susteren, who has made no bones about being a Packer fan, first interviewed Favre in Sept. 2006 and again, along with Favre’s wife Deanna, a breast cancer survivor, in Sept. 2007. And as we found out in TVNewser’s 5 Questions last week, here’s what the Appleton, Wisconsin native misses most about her home state: “Bratwurst, my high school friends, the Packers and cheese.”
