The Scoreboard: Brett Favre Delivers for NBC's 'Sunday Night Football'
The Brett Favre machine keeps on rolling. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback made his return to the field Sunday just a few days after announcing he would play another season with the club. The results were not surprising: fast nationals show that the game delivered at least 8.8 million total viewers, as well as a 3 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.
NBC says it is the best preseason week two overnight ratings in seven years.
As we reported last week, the game also featured a taped interview with Favre at halftime, with Al Michaels asking the 40-year old quarterback why he chose to return, among other questions.
The ratings are preliminary, more accurate data will come in from Nielsen later today, check back later for the latest.
