“NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams will return to his nightly newscast on Tuesday, September 3. Lester Holt, who had been filling in for Williams since he underwent knee replacement surgery earlier this month, announced the return on the program last night.
“When folks return from their end of summer break on Labor Day, a friend of ours will be coming back to work as well,” Holt said. “Brian has been given the all-clear from his doctors after knee replacement surgery just over three weeks ago.”
