Bridge Collapse: CBS & NBC

The CBS Evening News ran the bridge collapse story about 9 minutes into the west coast version of the broadcast as a voice over. The NBC Nightly News Western Edition (6:30pm PT) began with a report on the collapse from correspondent Peter Alexander in the Los Angeles Bureau. NBC News produced a network-wide special report which aired at 9:14pm ET. It was anchored by Keith Olbermann from MSNBC headquarters.

>Update: Brian Williams anchored another NBC News special report at 10pm ET from New York: “one confirmed dead, 28 people injured but early numbers have a way of changing, we will hope and pray they don’t get any worse.”
