Bridge Collapse In Minneapolis

Cable news channels went into breaking news mode after getting word the 35W bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis simply collapsed into the river and up the riverbank.

“You are looking live at an absolute horror unfolding before our eyes in the city of Minneapolis,” is how Shepard Smith broke the news on Fox News Channel, the first of the cable channels to report the story at 7:32 ET. CNN was second at 7:35. MSNBC third at 7:39.
