Bright and Early, with CBS’ Smith

CBS anchor Harry Smith is a late-riser — he’s been getting to the Pepsi Center for The Early Show broadcast at about 3:30amMT. With that early call time, and getting back to the convention for the prime time speeches, it makes for a long day.

But Smith told us a way he unwinds during the afternoon — biking. Yesterday he took a 30-mile ride out of the city. Luckily, being a Denver anchor in the 1980s, he knows the terrain.
