Cable News Snapshot: Pre-Debate Edition
The lead in to tonight’s debate on the cablers appears to be similar to the usual schedule, but with slight variations. First on CNN, Campbell Brown: Election Center is being called, “Debate Night in America,” and is co-anchored by Wolf Blitzer. Jeffrey Toobin joked that tonight they were the “best political team in the world,” since Michael Ware and Christiane Amanpour joined the panel. On Fox News, Bill O’Reilly anchored live — and from Washington, D.C. The program will last until 8:50pmET, when the pre-debate coverage takes over. Included in the program was a pre-taped, contentious interview with Karl Rove. Countdown with Keith Olbermann aired as usual on MSNBC, and Olbermann teased an 11pmET post-debate Countdown which will be live. Sen. Joe Biden will be a guest on the program:![]()
