Capehart Explains On-Air Disaster

capehart9-8.jpgLast week, TVNewser highlighted Jonathan Capehart‘s shocking and controversial on-air blunder when he told MSNBC “Way Too Early” host Willie Geist that he reads the NY Times and Wall Street Journal in the morning, but didn’t mention his own paper, the Washington Post. In an email to Gawker, Capehart explains:

“The reason I didn’t mention the Washington Post on ‘Way Too Early’ is because the paper arrives AFTER I’ve worked out on the elliptical (around 6:30am). I can’t believe people don’t have other things to worry about. Maybe that’ll change now that Labor Day is over. :-)
